David Strbac: Solo recital

David Strbac (Serbia/Spain) has been an internationally active guitarist since 2016. As a soloist, he has won prizes at more than 20 international guitar competitions and completed his master's degree with honours at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna in 2022. As part of ensembles such as Cross Atlantic Trio and Vienna Guitar Sextet, he has already taken part in successful European tours and with a big accent on Spanish and South American music.

Throughout his musical education, he was always mesmerized by the most demanding pieces of the classical guitar reperotire. They represented a personal challenge that he never fully allowed himself to take on in a concert context, for the fear of not being understood by the non-classical musician audiences.
